An almost life-size depiction of Adam shown as a full-length nude figure, facing right. He covers his private parts with a branch held in his left hand and holds an apple in his right hand. Part of the tree of knowledge is shown at the right edge and this pictorial devise leads over to the pendant piece, a panel depicting Eve. Small bushes fills the space behind Adam.
