Research History / Discussion

Flechsig's speculation in Cat. Braunschweig 1922 that it may be an early work by Lucas Cranach the Younger is taken up by Koepplin and Falk in Exhib. Cat. Basel 1974, 701 and Friedländer, Rosenberg 1978, No. 346.
