The surviving right half of the vertical format panel depicts stags being driven into a river and then shot at with a cross-bow. It was commissioned by Elector Johann Friedrich, who is shown at the right in the foreground looking out at the viewer. His wife Sibylle of Cleve also participates in the hunt. She is accompanied by court ladies and archers. Knights in the forest oversee the course of events.
