The wing panel illustrates three scenes from the Passion, arranged vertically.

Top: Christ is bound to the column and is at the mercy of the ruffians who encircle him.

Centre: the so-called presentation of Christ depicts the tormented and mocked figure of Christ on a plaform being subjected to the decission

The wing panel illustrates three scenes from the Passion, arranged vertically.

Top: Christ is bound to the column and is at the mercy of the ruffians who encircle him.

Centre: the so-called presentation of Christ depicts the tormented and mocked figure of Christ on a plaform being subjected to the decission of the crowd below. They are against his aquittal and therefore he is lead out of the gaol.

Bottom: Christ has risen from the dead. His red robe arches up in ornamental folds around his body. In his left hand he holds up the victory banner and offers a blessing with his right hand. The soldiers who have just woken up lie around the sarcophagus.
