The central middle field of the predella depicts a mass at the moment of consecration. The celebrant stands in front of an altar with a retable and raises the host. The congregation has fallen to the ground. Directly behind the celebrant an acolyte wearing a red robe kneels and holds up the tail of the chasuble in his right hand and an altar candle in his left hand. To the left of the altar an acolyte rings a bell.
The areas to the left and right show the purgatorial fire from which angles save single souls.
