A full-length figure of Eve standing against a black background on a narrow strip of grass. Eve's right foot is positioned parallel to the picture plane, whereas her left foot is shown at right angles and points towards the viewer. In her left hand Eve holds a branch with leaves

A full-length figure of Eve standing against a black background on a narrow strip of grass. Eve's right foot is positioned parallel to the picture plane, whereas her left foot is shown at right angles and points towards the viewer. In her left hand Eve holds a branch with leaves covering her vulva and in her right hand she holds an apple from which she has alreaady taken a bite. The tree of knowledge has been cropped by the left edge of the panel. The serpent has coiled itself around a branch and moves towards Eve.
