Hercules is seated at the centre of the rectangular picture and is surrounded by Omphale and her servants. While the hero looks to the right, one of the women has already started placing a white cloth over his head like a bonnet, another woman guides his right hand to her decollete. Hercules holds the distaff in his left hand. Above his head two dead partridges hang like a still-life on the wall.
