after the death of Hieronymus Beck his library and the portrait minatures were transferred to the Court library of Archduke Matthias and probably then bound to create the present codex
in the 19th century this codex was in Franz Graf Lamberg's library in Pressburg
before 1900 it entered the Lamberg collection in Ottenstein castle, Lower Austria
from there it entered a private collection
28.05.1973: auctioned at Hartung und Karl, Munich, No. 131
acquired by the Kunsthistorische Museum, Vienna[1]
