The saint is shown as a three-quarter length figure against a black background. She is facing left and wears a black dress with gold brocade decoration and puffed sleeves. Her neck is decorated with a pendant and a collar set with precious stones and pearls. Her long, reddish blonde hair

The saint is shown as a three-quarter length figure against a black background. She is facing left and wears a black dress with gold brocade decoration and puffed sleeves. Her neck is decorated with a pendant and a collar set with precious stones and pearls. Her long, reddish blonde hair falls mostly over her left shoulder and is gathered together by a pearl embroidered hair band. St Catherine's right arm rests on the wheel that is a symbol of her martyrdom.
