The painting depicts Venus and Cupid in front of a landscape. Apart from a hat and numerous necklaces Venus weas only a transparent veil, which winds around her lower left arm and the lower part of her body. She holds it in her left hand. With her right hand she gestures in Cupid's direction. He stands on the left edge of the painting and looks up at Venus. In his right hand he holds a honeycomb.
