The naked infant Jesus is lying on a cloth held by two angels with the Virgin Mary kneeling before him. She is wearing a red robe underneath a bluish-green cloak, which she has pulled over her head. Joseph stands at the right edge of the image with his hat pulled

The naked infant Jesus is lying on a cloth held by two angels with the Virgin Mary kneeling before him. She is wearing a red robe underneath a bluish-green cloak, which she has pulled over her head. Joseph stands at the right edge of the image with his hat pulled down; behind him, the ox and ass look over the gate. A landscape with the Annunciation to the Shepherds can be seen through a large opening in the stable wall.
