Hercules sits in the centre of the rectangular painting surrounded by Omphale's servants. While the hero looks to the right where Omphale sits at the edge of the painting distinguished by a broad hat with feathers, the servants have already begun to put a white cloth on his head like

Hercules sits in the centre of the rectangular painting surrounded by Omphale's servants. While the hero looks to the right where Omphale sits at the edge of the painting distinguished by a broad hat with feathers, the servants have already begun to put a white cloth on his head like a bonnet. He holds the tools for spinning in his hands, a distaff has been placed in his arms and is held by Omphale and one of her servants. Two partrigdes hang in the top left corner and look like a still-life.
