The panel depicts the resurrection of Christ. The scene takes place on a hill and behind a city – possibly Rome - is visible. Christ stands at the centre of the image on top of a closed, rectangular sarcophagus, holding the victory flag attached to a transparent rod and raising his right hand in blessing. He is surrounded by watchmen, slowly rousing from their slumber - six men in contemporary armour. A single gold line decorates the border of his red cloak. In the distance on the left women can be seen approaching from the city.
