She stands in three-quarter profile against a balustrade and a green curtain, which almost completely conceals the landscape behind. Althought the composition is borrowed from Cranach the figure type and

A courtly dressed lady (gold brocade cloak with fur-trimmings and a spotted fur collar) plunges a dagger into her body. She stands in three-quarter profile against a balustrade and a green curtain, which almost completely conceals the landscape behind. Althought the composition is borrowed from Cranach the figure type and the hair, the interpretation and the landscape all deviate from Cranach's standards.
