Kitchen book Lochau 1505/06, comment Scheidig, legacy C 28: Two of Cranach's apprentices received board in Lochau. There is no such entry on this page. Until Bl. 16v [5. October] weekly only three or two painters were accounted for, cranach is not mentioned. according to the management of the account books it can only be said with certainty that he was on location if he was expressly listed, because the cost of his board was twice that of the unnamed painters.
