The portrait depicts Sibylle von Cleve as a half-length figure against a light background, facing left. The splendour of her attire can barely be surpassed. She wears a chain with a pendant set with precious stones around her neck, in addition a long chain hangs over her shoulders. Her bodice is decorated with pearls sewn on to create letters and a heart held by two hands. Her hairnet is also decorated among others with letters.
