Adam and Eve shown as full-length figures against a backdrop of bushes. Eve leans nonchalantly against the tree of knowledge from which the serpent has been omitted. Adam stands to her left with his gaze fixed on her and appears to bite into the apple she holds up to his mouth. The leaves of the branch he is holding modestly conceal their nakedness. A stag looks on from behind at the right.
