A screen of trees stretches across the right-hand side of the middle ground, separating her from the background, and like

The saint is shown as a full-length, seated figure against the backdrop of a mountainous landscape. She is wearing contemporary courtly attire and holds an ointment jar in both hands. A screen of trees stretches across the right-hand side of the middle ground, separating her from the background, and like a curtain that has been pulled back it reveals an image of her on the left, being carried up to heaven by angels after spending many years of penance in the wilderness.
