Portrait of a Man

This half-length depiction of a man is only known from a few b/w photographs. It shows a middle-aged man with striking facial features and a serious expression. His body and gaze are turned to the right, and he wears a black cap over the short dark hair covering his ears. Although probably black the rest of his attire is elaborately decorated. An example of this is the brocade pattern on the high-collared tunic underneath which the ruff of his white shirt is visible. His hands are clasped in front of him and he has a signet ring with an unidentifiable coat of arms on his left hand.
