A three-quarter length portrait of the electress wearing a fashionable dress with ornate brocade trimming on her white pleated blouse. The laced bodice corresponds with German renaissance fashion, whereas the black of the gown, the padded shoulders, the stiff collar and the high ruff reveal the influence of Spanish fashion that was spreading throughout Europe. A black hat with a feather sits at an angle on her head. She wears a heavy gold chain around her neck and numerous rings on her fingers.
