in November 1945 evacuated from the Schlesische Museum der Bildenden Künste and taken to a storage facility in Kamenz, Poland
end of February 1946, many works went missing including this painting
eventually it ended up in Mariefred, where it belonged to Häggberg, a manager at the telecommunications company L M Ericsson
1970 purchased by the Nationamuseum [2]
the Nationalmuseum returned the painting to Poland [3]
