The saint is depicted as a full-length figure wearing flamboyant armour. His beard is brown and hair of the same colour is visible beneath the broad red hat. His left hand rests on the hilt of the sword in his belt and in his right hand he holds a lance,

The saint is depicted as a full-length figure wearing flamboyant armour. His beard is brown and hair of the same colour is visible beneath the broad red hat. His left hand rests on the hilt of the sword in his belt and in his right hand he holds a lance, which has a flag at the top. Dark grey clouds cover the sky behind the saint. In the top left corner an architectural frame is suggested. Shown are a spandrel and the soffit of an arch, which is decorated with ornaments and circular recesses.

  • from the former collegial church (Kollegiatsstiftskirche) St. Alexandri zu Einbeck
  • transferred together with the central panel to the castle church (Schlosskirche) of the Leine palace (Schloss) by Duke Johann Friedrich of Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Hannover during the catholic Interregium of 1675
  • stolen during the french-westfalian usurpation and later returned without the martyrdom scenes on the verso [1]
  • since 1961 on the main altar of Kreuzkirche Hannover [2]
