Description:
A three-quarter length portrait of Johann Friedrich I, the Magnanimous, Elector of Saxony (1503-1554) facing right and set in a grey niche. The sitter has a black beret on his head, slashed gloves on his hands and wears a black tunic under a furlined overcoat. He holds the double edged Reichs sword with both hands.
