Lot sits on the ground together with his daughters. One rests on his shoulder and embraces his left arm. The old man holds a sumptuous chalice in both hands, which is filled by his second daughter who stands behind him. Both daughters wear elaborate velvet dresses in a deep red, which frames the blue of Lot's robe. Three figures from an earlier scene are visible in the middle-distance. They move away from their mother who has already been transformed into a column of salt. In the background the burning town is represented impressively with red over black.
