The classical Sun God Apollo is depicted in front of a landscape with his twin sister Diana, the Goddess of the Moon. Diana is also the Goddess of Hunting and the Forest, which is illustrated by the stag she sits on. Apollo was also revered as God of the Arts and Archery, which is why he is shown holding a bow and arrow.
