On this fragment illustrating the subject of 'Law and Grace' only Moses holding the ten commandments has survived. The scene is associated with the Old Covenant, likewise representations of the Fall of Man, the expulsion from paradise, the damnation to Hell and Christ as judge of the world. It was usually juxtaposed with an illustration of the New Covenant generally showing John the Baptist with Adam, Christ defeating Death and the Devil and the brazen serpent.
