The middle-ground and the foreground are separated by a wood. Christ is shown four times. At the left in the foreground: John the Baptist points to the crucified Christ whose blood falls on the faithful. Beneath the cross the lamb is shown with the victory banner. In the foreground at the right the risen Christ is represented standing over death and the devil, wearing a red robe and a holding the victory banner.
