Adam and Eve. Eve gives Adam an apple. She holds a second one in her left hand concealed behind her back. A snake winds itself around the tree of knowledge, which is depicted on the right side of the painting. A stag lies on the left side next to Adam.

A snake winds itself around the tree of knowledge, which is depicted on the right side of the painting. A stag lies on the left side next to Adam. On the right a lion emerges from the undergrowth between the tree trunk and Eve. A thick forest creates a backdrop for the scene.
