Salome is depicted as a half-length figure, holding the head of St John in her hands. She wears a sumptuous dress decorated on the bib and along the hem with gold brocade. The sleeves are made less monotonous with decorative slits and the white undergarment puffs out at the elbows.

Salome is depicted as a half-length figure, holding the head of St John in her hands. She wears a sumptuous dress decorated on the bib and along the hem with gold brocade. The sleeves are made less monotonous with decorative slits and the white undergarment puffs out at the elbows. In addition she wears a beret decorated with ostrich feathers over a bonnet embroidered with pearls on her head and plenty of jewellery: a double chain, a linked chain and a neckband. A mountainous background is visible through the window.
