The goddess of love stands with long flowing hair in a forest clearing with a view of a rocky landscape at the right. Using both hands she adjusts a transparent veil, which appears to emphasize rather than hide her nakedness. She wears a choker and a linked chain, and a plaited wreath with a feather adorns her head. The naked, winged infant Cupid holds a honeycomb in his left hand, while removing another one from the hollowed-out tree with his right hand. Seeking help, he looks up at his mother as bees swarm around him, stinging to fight off the thief.
