A three-quarter length portrait of the electress wearing a fashionable dress with ornate brocade trimming on a white pleated blouse. The laced bodice corresponds with German renaissance fashion, whereas the black of the gown, the padded shoulders, the stiff collar and the high ruff reveal the influence of Spanish fashion that was spreading throughout Europe. She wears a heavy gold chain around her neck and numerous rings on her fingers.
