Conservation History

Date26.01.1995 -

Lifted by slitting the guards with a paper knife. Paper debris and residual adhesive removed, following the local application of warm water with a brush, by lifting the paper debris with a pair of tweezers and scraping the adhesive off with a metal spatula. Tear supported using Tengujo Japanese paper and Abra starch (wheat starch) adhesive. Relaxed between a Gore-Tex sandwich (with Capillary matting placed beneath), then pressed between boards weighted with glass.
