Description:
The saint is depicted as a full-length figure in three-quarter profile, facing left. She holds the chalice - a symbol of her martyrdom - in her hands, in addition the tower with the three windows and faintly indicated tree are visible in the background. [Görres, cda 2014]

        Tools/Materials:
        - fluid, black medium and brush; the initial rough design may have been partially executed in chalk

        Type/Ductus:
        - freehand underdrawing
        - thin to broader lines; reinforcedin the painted version with black contours
        - occasional hatching-strokes

        Function:
        - relatively binding for the final painted version; lines delineate contours and describe facial features; hatching-strokes in the drapery serve the representation of volume

        Deviations:
        - minor alterations made during the painting process to clearly define form
