Description:
The saint is shown as a full-length figure positioned under an arch with renaissance ornamentation. This architectural element is repeated on the left fixed wing and frames the central annunciation scene. He is turned to the centre and wears splendid bishop's vestments. He holds an open book in his left hand and a spindle around which his intestines are coiled in his right hand. His head is framed by a transparent halo. [Görres, cda 2015]
