Adam is shown sitting on a pedestal under the tree of knowledge. A serpent winds itself around a branch of the tree. Eve stands to Adam's right and supports her right knee on the pedestal, her left leg is stretched out on the grass. She grasps the branch with the serpent in her left hand and puts her right arm around Adam's neck, offering him the apple. Adam holds another apple in his right hand. Their bodies appear anatomically incorrect and are strangely amorphous, the splayed out big toes of the left feet are particularly conspicuous.
