Recto: the right moveable wing depicts the Adoration of the Child in the upper field. Joseph, who holds a candle, and the Virgin with her hands folded in an attitude of prayer kneel in front of the crib containing the infant Christ. The lower field shows the three kings, who approach the Virgin and the infant Christ from the left with gifts.

Verso: the reverse of the right moveable wing shows St Sigismund as a full-length figure wearing a regal robe and crown, holding an orb and a sceptre. He faces left and stands in front of a curtain. This conceals the room to which the arched architectural element with three circular openings belongs. The panel has a rounded top and is completed with golden spandrels decorated with organic ornamentation.

Type/Ductus:

- mainly copied lines; freehand underdrawing in the draperies

- thin to slightly broader lines

Function:

- relatively binding for the final painted version; lines delineate contours and describe the essential details and the facial features; no representation of volume
