Description:
Christ's corpse lies in the foreground, held half upright from behind by John. Magdalene kneels to the right and places her left hand on Christ's lips, the Virgin kneels to her left. Behind them are three other women together with Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathia. In the background is a mountainous landscape, at the top right is a castle.
