Enveloped in a wide dress the Virgin stands with folded hands behind a lectern with an open book. There is a vase with lilies in front of the lectern. The donor, smaller in scale, is shown kneeling at the left in a black fur-trimmed brocade coat. Angels hold up a cloth, which separates the virgin from the gilded background. This has an arched top and is complemented by decorated stone spandrels.
