Results

Drawing material:

- possibly a dry material

Technique:

- isolated lines that deviate from the painted version are visible; the underdrawing on the bridge of the nose and the thumb of the left hand was carried out with a dry material [1]

- underdrawing desribing the shape of the nose is visible as well as in the area of the eyes (left eyebrow)

- Alterations: folded hands - the fingers of the left hand were originally somewhat shorter

- painting process on the right side of the face visible: the beard was originally smaller and then made broader during the painting process

- damage in the paint layers are clearly visible in the background
